MORE ABOUT HERBALISM
The world of Herbalism is comprised though of over 300,000 different herbs, all growing on our planet. Each herb has the potential to be the right source of new medicine and valuable raw ingredients for humanity.
Herbalism or Phytotherapy is considered to be the oldest medicine in the world, rooted in the relationship between human beings and the rest of nature.
For millennia, humans have found the health benefits of herbs and their assistance in dealing with sickness and diseases. Throughout history, we see this explicitly in myriad cultures all over the world, and how the same herbs are used to treat similar problems in communities distant to each other.
Five thousand years ago the Chinese developed Phyotherapy and were able to find medicinal use of over five thousand herbs. In India, Ayurveda, which is considered the oldest method of herbal medicine in the world, found use of over 250 herbs. Hippocrates was the first person to bring the Phytotherapy into science 2400 years ago, and in his writings he mentioned around 300 types of herbs.
In modern days there is more awareness and attempts to combine traditional and new knowledge with the intention to recognize the active ingredients of the herbs and realize their mechanism in the body.

Bach flowers remedies are one of the main tools I use in my mind-and-body counseling. Bach's personalized healing method has earned a reputation as a successful, simple and safe method, especially for children.
Dr. Edward Bach (1886-1936), was a renowned physician and great cataloger in Europe. In the 1930s, he revolutionized diagnostics and became famous for the seven ways in which he discovered disease, and presented a herbalism approach based on the spiritual essence of flowers and their relation to the energetic / emotional side of human beings.
In the laboratory he discovered and studied seven types of intestinal bacteria, and his great work was establishing the connection between the predominant bacteria in each patient and the patient's character traits.
At the age of 44, after searching for herbal remedies as an alternative to vaccination, he concluded that the mental state was an indication of the treatment of the disease. When a person does not follow his inner voice, a conflict of the soul (hatred, fear, etc.) occurs and this condition affects the state of health, and that patients of a certain type will respond in the same way to the disease even if the symptoms are different. Two of Bach's greatest conclusions are:
* Physical illness is a symptom rather than an indication for treatment, and healing can only be achieved by removing the cause.
* Chronic illness is the result of an ongoing internal conflict that has become permanent.
Bach believed nature in its natural simplicity was supposed to provide us with the means to our health, as it provides water, light, air, warmth and food for our existence.
In the energies and frequencies inherent in flower essences, Bach described 38 situations and patterns of character that are common in humans and cause their diseases. And using the extract of the flowers leads to the opening of channels. In total, there are 293 million possible combinations.
Balancing the Hormonal system
When hormonal symptoms are encountered, we should systematically look for the root cause.
As the body systems are interrelated, one system going out of balance will essentially get the other systems out of balance as well. For example, imbalance in the digestive system will directly affect the hormonal system.
Women during their fertility years, who get a monthly period and who experience premenstrual symptoms, are in a state of hormonal imbalance; so are women with weak or irregular menstruation, women with heavy menstruation characterized by strong bleeding, etc.
Women who have just given birth or miscarried or aborted a pregnancy, are in a natural state of hormonal imbalance and in some cases their body cannot seem to restore its hormonal balance.
While she is out of hormonal balance, a woman may experience a wide array of physical symptoms, such as weight gain (premenstrual accumulation of fluids), sensitivity, swollen breast, back pain, headaches, migraines, acne, loss of sexual desire, various digestive problems (diarrhea, constipation), a decrease in attention, worsening in existing diseases, difficulty to conceive, heavy menstruation, blood deficiency and anemia, late or no period, etc. Psychological issues, such as nervousness, anxiety, depression, stress, grumpiness, aggressiveness, confusion, mood changes and more are also possible and typical.
However, the good news is that the hormonal system can be effectively treated and balanced using a natural methods, integrative body-mind approach that includes such means as a wholesome diet and personally-matched medical herbs.
